Vidgle Victim of a Major Hack Attack

Aired: September 26th, 2011

Vidgle’s website was down parts of Sunday because of a major hack attack. Vidgle’s general manager Anthony Zaragoza announced the attack to users of Vidgle late Sunday night. “This attack targeted the entire enterprise of our hosting provider’s web hosting data center.”

The attacker, known as Tiger-M@te, attacked the site at 4:00AM EST Sunday morning. In the attack, the hacker defaced hundreds of thousands of websites hosted with InMotion Hosting. The hack was not targeting Jenthony Enterprises, Inc., the parent company of Vidgle. The hacker was known for hacking Google earlier this year, Apple, Microsoft, and the Pentagon.

“We’ve had attacks before targeting specifically our websites,” Anthony commented to WRAJ Radio staff this morning, “however this is by far the worst attack I’ve seen in my online media career of 10 years.” He did add that the company has no plans for leaving the hosting provider.

Vidgle and its sister website, WRAJ Internet Radio, has been hosting with InMotion Hosting since 2008.
