Cosplay Singer Reni Mimura To Perform at PJ Mini Pop

The Dwyer Cultural Center, located in the trendy SoHa (South Harlem) neighborhood, is delighted to announce the first “mini” anime event entitled ‘PJ “mini” Pop’ on Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 12:00 – 6:00pm.

The host of the event, PJ Pop, has a mission to convey the taste, sense and ambience of the authentic Japanese culture including anime, games, pop culture and food.  PJ Pop calls this the PJ-POP experience (Premiere Japanese POP Culture).

The PJ “mini” Pop will introduce the abundance of the Japanese pop culture to local families, residents, students and communities. Longtime anime fans and New Yorkers interested in learning more about Japanese culture will enjoy the PJ-POP experience.

The event includes Karaoke Contest, merchandise from major anime stores in New York, a fun “cosplay café”, demonstrations of robots and modern architectural and mechanical designs, plus screening for anime fans and talk panels. In addition, Japanese pop singer Reni will perform.
